Each ingredient in this delicious and warming broth is good for your immunity and for your gut health, which in a sense is your immunity. The overall calorie count of this meal is almost nil, which makes it a great snack or perfect for anyone aiming to reducing carbohydrate intake. I make this every couple of days during the winter months.
Ingredients:
- 2 Shakes of chili flakes
- 3 Slices of ginger
- Rock salt and pepper to taste
- Diced spoonful of spring onion or a nori sushi seaweed sheet (optional)
- Konjac noodles (zero calorie noodles found in the health section of the supermarket)
- Bone broth powder (I use the Nutra Organics brand, beef or chicken) or make your own (I like this recipe from the minimalist baker)
Method:
1. Add 250ml of boiling water to approximately a dessert spoon of good bone broth powder. I use an oversized mug or soup bowl.
2. Wash and add half a bag of konjac noodles to your broth.
3. Stir in chili flakes and ginger then salt and pepper to taste.
4. Add spring onion or seaweed (I like to chop up a sheet of nori).
5. Enjoy the noodles with a fork and slurp the broth while still steamy.
Enjoyed a few or more times a week is the perfect winter vibrancy strategy.
